FUMC Youth Commission
Vision: To aid in the creation of a loving community of faith that expresses itself through both personal spirituality and social responsibility; reaching up and reaching out to all youth in God's love.
Mission: To support the FUMC coordinator of Youth ministries and support S.C.U.M.Y. by coordinating and recruiting adult volunteers and additional resources where needed. To educate and to keep all interested groups informed of youth programming and development. To evaluate the youth ministry and make recommendations so that present and future needs of youth are addressed. To report to the church council.
General Information: The Youth Commission was re-established in 2007 to assist in the coordination of parent volunteers for youth functions that needed extra assistance. They recognized the importance of including the parents, other adults and youth voices in the logistics, planning and support of our youth.
